HOW TO BECOME A LAWYER OR ATTORNEY

   

You want to know how to become a lawyer or attorney these words are used interchangeable but do they had the same meaning, because we use these two words to meaning one in the same. But that the correct usage of either lawyer or attorney. Let's define both lawyer and or attorney before I explain how to become a lawyer or attorney.

A lawyer is someone who practice law and has an understanding of legal rules, ordinance and procedures of our system of government as to the laws we have allowed our legislatures in government to vote on and enact for the good of each individual person in our country. As a lawyer you would interpret those rules, ordinance and procedures that our in our system of government and give legal advice.

A attorney is someone who has the authority to be a substitute for you or act as you on your behave regarding legal matters. Now you can see where the two are similar in regard to legal matters. But there is a slight difference as to being a lawyer, you would interpret laws, ordinance, rules and procedures. An attorney is someone you need to represent you in legal matters in the court of law if you are suing someone or you have run afoul of the legal system. But overall they can be said to be the same as well. There are some lawyers who would say that you need to get an attorney for court issues.

How to become a lawyer and or attorney, well you would have to graduate from a an accredited high school or attain a GED certificate from whichever state you may reside today. You have to be at least 18 years of age and have completed at less a couple years or four years of college undergraduate studies and or work. Also most assuredly you would have to pass any and all exams with passing scores.

If you are going the route to attend law school you should prepare yourself to taking the (LSAT) exam which is the Law School Admission Exam and there are study material in the market place to buy or check books from your local libraries to help you prepare for this major exam. After Law School.

Bar Exam:

This exam is a must if you are going to be officially a lawyer or attorney wanting to practice law in the State of California. This exam is a multiple choice exam and the courses of study such as; criminal law, torts, real property, constitutional law. This is a 200 question exam, with six essays and two performance tests.

How to become a lawyer and or attorney, well you would have to graduate from a an accredited high school or attain a GED certificate from whichever state you may reside today. You have to be at least 18 years of age. If you are not going to attend college and you want to get your law degree, then you would have to have at least two years of an undergraduate studies which has be equal to 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours. California State Bar requires you to have this amount of undergraduate studies to move forward in the process.

These is also another way to achieve this California State Bar requirements and that is you have to take exams in the (CLEP) which is the College Exam Program. You must have passing scores in these exams. This exam is given by the College Board consisting of: college composition or college composition and modular. Also, there are a couple of other exams you must take and they have or will be schedule to similar full year courses. They consist of 6 semester hours each. Or you could complete the courses in four installments which will be designed as three semester hours each and the subject matter would be composition and literature (humanities), business, foreign language, history and social science and finally science and mathematics.

After you have completed the College Exam Program which you would have taking from the College Board you should have the College Board forward your scores forwarded to the law schools that you wish to try and attend. You can have all of your educational studies evaluated by the Committee of Bar Examiners' and forward your score to them and they will evaluate to determine that you have met all the requirements to enter a law school program if you are accepted. How to become a lawyer and or attorney, well you would have to graduate from a an accredited high school or attain a GED certificate from whichever state you may reside today. You have to be at least 18 years of age. You can attain you law license to practice law without attending law school, you would have to have an association with a practing attorney or law judge for four years and be in direct supervision of that attorney or law judge. You can meet your law school educational requirements, while you are working and studying law for a attorney or judge in their office. The attorney must be a member who is active with the California State Bar and they must have at least five years or more as a practicing member. After Completion
